On behalf of the McCook Optimists, thank you for choosing to play in the 30th Annual MAC Attack Basketball Tournament this year. We were able to get all games in on Saturday, January 23.

In order to host the MAC Attack this year, we were required to submit health plans outlining the actions we will take to maintain a safe environment for our kids to compete this year. We will be strict in our enforcement of these rules and expect your cooperation in following them:

* Each Team will be allowed to have two (2) coaches and their roster of athletes, wearing their team jerseys, enter facilities for their games. Anyone else will be considered guests.
" Guest tickets will be mailed to coaches this week. It is up to the coaches to determine how to distribute tickets to your athlete's guests.
" Each athlete will be given two guest tickets. Anyone not on a team seeking to enter our facilities will be required to present a ticket and pay a $5 entry fee. Those not on the team and without a ticket will not be allowed entry to our facilities.
" Re-entry into our facilities will require a mark on the guests hand and a ticket.
" All coaches and guests will be required to sign-in to our guest book each time they enter our facilities and answer questions about their health.
" Anyone that has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, new loss of taste or smell, or other symptoms will not be allowed to enter our facilities.
" All people in our facilities will:
o Wash their hands often or use hand sanitizer frequently.
o Wear masks covering nose and mouth at all times. Masks will be available on site. Only people actively coaching, playing, or refereeing will be exempt from wearing their masks. The Optimists will stop the games if necessary should people choose to not follow our masking guidelines while in our facilities.
o Practice social distancing by staying 6 feet from other households whenever possible.
" There will be no concessions available on site. Teams may bring drinks into the facilities.
" Athletes, coaches, and guests will not be allowed into our facilities until 30 minutes before tip-off of their first game.
" Athletes, coaches, and guests will be asked to leave the facility within 10 minutes of the end of their last game.
" We will tape off lines 6 feet apart on the ground at entry and outside bathrooms to promote social distancing in lines. Please follow these marks as directed.
" Guests will enter and exit by different doors which will be marked on game day.
" The McCook Optimists will sanitize team benches after each game. The Optimists will also sanitize bleachers and door handles between brackets.

We know these expectations are unusual, but we appreciate your cooperation in upholding them this year so we can create a safe environment to allow our young athletes to compete.
Thank you,
McCook Optimist Club
